A Plan Cast moves through several stages, each handling a specific part of turning your business plan into a working product. Here is what happens at each step.
Stage overview
| Stage | What you see | What happens behind the scenes |
|---|
| Tech Discovery | A friendly chat about your product’s needs | AI analyzes your plan and selects the right technology |
| Requirements | ”Understanding your requirements…” | Detailed product requirements are generated from your plan |
| Specifications | ”Creating your product plan…” | Technical specifications and screen designs are created |
| Review checkpoint | You review and approve specifications | Building pauses until you are satisfied |
| Validation | ”Checking everything is consistent…” | Specifications are cross-checked for completeness |
| Building | ”Building your product…” | Code is written for every feature |
| Quality checks | ”Running quality checks…” | Security, accessibility, and performance audits run |
| Final review | Quality report for your review | Building pauses for your approval |
| Ready to deploy | Your product is complete | Waiting for you to click Deploy |
What you need to do
Most stages run automatically. You only need to act at two points:
- Review checkpoints — review the generated specifications and approve, request changes, or add notes
- Deployment — click Deploy when you are ready to go live
Everything else happens in the background. You can close your browser and come back later.
How long does it take?
Total Plan Cast time varies based on your product’s complexity:
| Product complexity | Typical total time |
|---|
| Simple (5-10 features) | 4-8 hours |
| Medium (10-20 features) | 8-16 hours |
| Complex (20+ features) | 16-24 hours |
These times include the automated building stages only. Time spent at review checkpoints (where you review and approve) is not counted — take as long as you need.
Pausing and resuming
The building process can be paused and resumed at any time:
- Automatic pauses — the process pauses at review checkpoints, waiting for your input
- Error pauses — if something goes wrong, the process pauses and notifies you
- Manual resume — if a Plan Cast was interrupted (network issue, service outage), it automatically picks up from the last checkpoint
You are never charged for time spent waiting at review checkpoints or during pauses.
